Rental Conditions in Greece

Renter and driver must be at least 21 years old at the date of car pick up.
Renters who are younger than age of 25, regardless of the rented car type will be charged EUR 11.70 daily, with a maximum charge of EUR 117.00 per rental agreement.

Renters/drivers between the age of 21 to 25 are only allowed to rent car groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G and K.
To rent other car groups the renter most be over 25 years old.

No maximum age restriction applies.

Additional drivers can be added for a cost of EUR 4.68 per day, up to maximum cost of EUR 46.80 per rental agreement.
Any additional drivers must be present when you collect the car.
All drivers must meet our conditions of rental.

When you pick up the vehicle, Budget will block an amount from your credit card as a guarantee for the fulfilment of your obligations under the rental agreement.

Following full payment of the rent and any other financial obligations under the rental agreement, Budget shall order the unblocking of the amount of guarantee.

The time of actual unblocking of the amount of guarantee depends on the rules of the issuer of your credit card and Budget bears no liability for delays.

✓Incident Report Fee: In case of an accident or traffic violation fine, there is a non-refundable fee of EUR 35.10 to cover administration expenses, irrespectively of renter’s liability..

✓Traffic Violations: The renter assumes full responsibility for traffic violations and pays the respective fines plus an administration fee of EUR 35.10.

✓Damage caused intentionally or by negligence.
✓Damage caused by incorrect fuel.
✓Damage caused as a result of a breach of the rental agreement’s terms and conditions.
✓Damage caused as a result of fire, vis mayor and terrorist attacks.
✓Damage caused to the underneath and the top of the car, the antenna, the mirrors and the tires or while Budget car was on ferry.

Third party liability is included in the rental price.
Covers third parties in case of death or body injuries, including passengers (except the driver of the Budget vehicle), when using the Budget vehicle, up to the amount set by Greek Government authorities, at the time of rental.

Third Party liability doesn't cover theft or attempted theft of the vehicle, theft of personal belongings from the vehicle, death or injury to the driver and damage to the rental vehicle.

Negligence while refuelling the vehicle (e.g. car unsupervised) or keys safe keeping (e.g. left in ignition).
Theft of personal property situated on or within the Budget Car.

Completely eliminates the excess amounts of Collision Damage Cover (CDW) and Vehicle Theft Cover (TP) for all car groups.

Mandatory condition is that the renter completes and signs the Budget Accident Report before the end of the rental.

If another vehicle is involved in the accident with the Budget car, it is mandatory that the renter calls the road assistance company, indicated by Budget, for the recording of the accident and the photographing of the vehicles.

Covers the renter of the vehicle of up to EUR 50.000 in case of death, total or partial disability, plus up to EUR 2.000 for medical expenses incurred, due to the accident.

✓Accidents that did not happen while driving the Budget car.
✓Accidents that happened before or after the rental.

It is available at a cost of EUR 2.93 per day.

Covers the glass damage of the vehicle.

✓Damage caused intentionally or by negligence.
✓Damage caused as a result of a breach of the rental agreement’s terms and conditions.
✓Damage caused as a result of fire, vis mayor and terrorist attacks.

It is avaialble for a cost of EUR 3,51 per day for all car groups.

Additional to Personal Accident Insurance and increases the renter's coverage up toEUR 80.000 for death, EUR 100.000 for total or partial disability and EUR 5.000 for clinical expenses.

✓Accidents that did not happen while driving the Budget car.
✓Accidents that happened before or after the rental.

It is available for a cost of EUR 4.10 per day

It is not allowed to use any ferry-boat with a vehicle rented from Budget in Greece without written authorisation by the location Budget manager.
No insurance is valid while the car is on board ship.

In case the renter is late, Budget guarantees car availability for maximum 3 hours after the pick- up time entered in the booking.
After this time, the reserved vehicle may be released to another customer.
Budget recommends the renter to enter the flight number when booking the car.
If the renter is delayed, the rate of the rental is subject to change.

Hotel delivery and collection services are available from this location at extra cost, depending on the distance from the Budget office. Service is available on request at time of reservation; full address and contact details will be required.

A charge of EUR 0.88 / km (calculated from the rental location) will apply with a minimum charge of EUR 21,06 each way - inside the city limits).
