Please note that the credit card must have the renter's name and numbers embossed on it.
Physical credit cards that are not close to their expiration date must be presented; otherwise, delivery of the vehicle may be refused.
The cost is CLP 3,900 plus rates per day and you must comply with the required age in addition to showing your current identity card.
All additional drivers must meet the same minimum age and driver's license requirements as the renter. All additional drivers must be present at time of pick-up of the rental vehicle.

Avis will request an authorization on the charge card for the estimated rental charges or for those charges not included in the voucher in case the customer presents one. The authorization amount varies according to the coverage/insurance selected and the car group rented.
If CDW is accepted:

While this hold is in place the funds will not be available for use. When the rental is over Avis will process the reversal but the bank may take time to post it back to the account.
Traffic fines are not included.
If the customer incurs a fine, the amount will be charged to their credit card along with an administrative percentage.
A fee of USD 75.00 applies if the reservation is canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice or if the customer does not pick up the vehicle within 12 hours of the reserved time.
Reservations for all car groups will be honored up to 2 hours after the scheduled time or until location closing, whichever comes first.
Purchase of ALI increases the protection for the driver and the passengers in the third party’s vehicle for bodily injury or death up to a maximum of USD 100.000,00.
Verify the scope and limits of this insurance at time of booking.
Purchase of CDW reduces the customer’s financial responsibility for the Avis vehicle as a result of an accident, fire or theft. CDW does not cover windshield damage/cracks or damage to tires or wheel rims. Theft coverage does not cover car accessories such as radio, hub caps, etc.

Purchase of PAI provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the Avis vehicle.
The road tag allows unlimited transit on the urban highways of Santiago de Chile.
This charge applies to all rentals at stations located within Santiago de Chile and has a cost of CLP 6,200 + tax per day when the pickup is in this city.
Fuel is not included in the rate. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than received, CLP 1,400 + tax will be charged per liter needed to fill the tank.
The use of inter-city tolls will be charged for their actual use plus an administrative percentage (20%), this charge may have a lag until you have the correct information from the highway authorities.
One-way allows drop-off at another location in the same city for approximately CLP 15,000.
We also allow drop-offs between Iquique, Antofagasta, Calama, Copiapó, La Serena, Santiago, Concepción, Temuco, and Puerto Montt, with charges depending on the route.
A Special International Permit is required to cross the border, hereinafter referred to as “the Permit.” Issuance is subject to Avis Budget’ evaluation and confirmation.
✓The Permit is granted only for travel to Argentina.
✓Request it at least 72 working hours in advance by sending the application to crossborder@avisbudget.cl with a valid ID card (for Chileans and resident foreigners) or passport (for foreigners) and a valid driver’s license. To add an additional driver, submit the same documents as for the main driver.
✓Payment method: the rental must be prepaid via reservations on www.avis.cl or through a payment link sent by the Contact Center team. The Permit fee is CLP 120,000 + VAT, in addition to the rental price, insurance, taxes, or other services, and must be paid in advance.
✓Minimum guarantee for rentals with international departure: CLP 3,000,000.
✓CDW coverage is mandatory for the booking.
✓Basic coverages included in the rental do not protect against theft in Argentina, even if additional coverages are purchased.
No replacement vehicle will be provided in Argentina in case of an incident.
✓The Permit is non-refundable if the rental is canceled or the date is changed.
✓Vehicles must return to Chile on the date stated in the contract. In case of late return, the renter is responsible for all repatriation costs, up to the commercial value of the vehicle.
✓The renter is responsible for repatriating the vehicle and must accompany it when entering Chile.
✓The Permit is valid for a maximum of 30 days. Avis Budget is not responsible if the vehicle cannot cross the border to or from Argentina. In case of accident, border closure, or any other reason preventing return, the full guarantee will be charged.
✓The renter is responsible for all costs for transport, towing, customs fines, additional rental days, or other related expenses.
✓If the vehicle is abandoned in Argentina, the renter must cover all repatriation costs, with a minimum charge of USD 10,000.
✓Border crossing is not allowed for class “X” vehicles (pickup with bars).
✓Vehicle return in Argentina is not allowed.
Are available at a cost of CLP 5,600.00 plus tax per day.
The cost of the GPS is approximately CLP 6,000 plus tax per rental day.
